Back in February Xiaomi announced the international rollout of MIUI 12.5, the latest version of its Android skin, which was initially unveiled in December in China. Since then, we’ve seen a steady, if slow, stream of updates headed to various devices in international markets.
Over in Europe, the Mi 11 got MIUI 12.5 last month, and now it’s finally time for the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro to receive the new software too. They should’ve gotten it in May as well, but for some reason the rollout got delayed.
Anyway, it’s here now, so if you have a Mi 10T or Mi 10T Pro purchased somewhere in the EU, know that sometime within the next few days or weeks the wait will be over and you’ll see the magic update notification.
The new build is labeled 18.104.22.168.RJDEUXM, it’s based on Android 11 of course, and comes in at a little over 3GB.
MIUI 12.5 promises to make any device faster with custom model adjustments, and offers instant response to gestures and “20 times more rendering power”. MIUI is also bragging that it’s become lighter, faster, and more durable (whatever that means). Additionally, there’s an all-new Notes app built-in, with a ton of functionality such as mind maps, doodling, sketching, dynamic layouts, and excerpts.
